  • Conducted profitability analysis across wine and spirits brands, labels, and international markets, incorporating product and overseas shipping costs to identify margin differences and flag unprofitable product-country combinations, informing recommendations to reduce or discontinue shipments to lower-performing markets.
  • Used statistical calculations to examine the overall business of the company, identifying the customers, countries, brands, and labels with the highest and lowest profitability in Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query).
  • Presented profitability findings and strategic recommendations to senior leadership, identifying high-performing products and markets while flagging unprofitable product-country combinations.

Hi! My name is Mikaela Hinton, and I’m a California native! I grew up in Davis, California, before moving to Southern California to attend UC Irvine. I recently made the move to Seattle to pursue my master’s degree at the University of Washington. Go Huskies! As a former Division I tennis athlete, staying active has always been a big part of my life. I love hiking, running, and exploring the outdoors. I’m currently training for my first half marathon and have my sights set on hiking Half Dome next summer! I’m always excited to take on new challenges, explore new places, and continue learning along the way!
